Tarmac Roads Supervisor

The organisation is geographically located in Nairobi, Naivasha, Kericho, Mt. Kenya and Mombasa and works with 1,200 vegetable out growers and 10,000 tea out growers.

We need dynamic individuals with strong supervisory, planning & organizing skills, interpersonal and communication skills and a team player to fill the following vacant positions in our Kericho operations.




The job holder is expected to
  • provide leadership and overall supervision in sections of the Roads to ensure that Road works are carried out effectively and efficiently;
  • assign jobs to artisans within the tarmac roads section and supervise them in order to ensure that work is carried out within the required time frame, budget, specifications and quality;
  • ensure the tarmac roads equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition;
  • keep and monitor a proper inventory of all tools, materials, equipment and machinery used by the tarmac roads section;
  • distribute materials to artisans and ensure that they are used efficiently;
  • order materials of  the right specifications and quantity for road repairs and ensure safe storage of the same;
  • ensure compliance to occupational health and safety requirements for the team;
  • supervise, train and guide road construction and maintenance team;
  • keep records and generate work related reports on prescribed forms;
  • stand in for the murram roads foreman whenever need arises.

Minimum Requirements
  • Ordinary Diploma / Diploma in Civil Engineering/Diploma in Highways
  • Proper understanding of use of bitumen emulsions and cutback bitumen.
  • Proper understanding of road construction procedures and general road specifications
  • Minimum related work experience of 5 years in a busy similar set up.
  • AutoCAD proficient.
