·         Must have Ph.D degree specialized in Veterinary Clinical Studies.

·         Must have at least four (4) years of University teaching and research since being appointed Associate Professor.

·         Must have at last (5) articles in refereed journals, one (1) book by a renowned publisher or two (2) book chapters plus three (3) articles distinguished and refereed exhibitions performances of original creation plus two (2) articles.

·         Must have successfully supervised at least tow (2) Ph.D students or one (1) student and two Masters Students or four (4) Masters Students.

·         Should have attended and contributed at learned conferences, seminars workshops.

·         Should show evidence of academic and research leadership in area of specialization through teaching and joint publications.

·         Should show evidence of continued research, postgraduate supervision and effective teaching.

·         Should shoe evidence of being a member of relevant professional bodies and awareness of national and international issues.

·         Should show evidence of leadership and awareness of national and international issues.

·         Must be a member of Kenya Veterinary Board/Kenya Veterinary Association

• Must be a Kenyan Citizen and holder of at least Masters degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
• A PhD degree in computer Science or IT will be an added advantage
• Applicants must have at least seven (7) years experience, three (3) years of which must be at a Senior Management level
• Must have strong Proficiency in computer technology & telecommunication with exposure to open source software including Unix, Linux and Oracle
• Must have participated in roll out of large client/Server and database industry MYSQL/SQL 2000 Systems and have capacity to oversee and supervise a centralized global institutional network.
• Duties will include management and coordination of ICT services in the University including systems, website services and provide IT solution on all University System

MEDICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT

·         KCSE with a Minimum of D- (D minus)

59. ESTATES MANAGER GRADE 13 (1 Post) EU/AF/2013 - 12121

The candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:-

·         Must be a Kenyan citizen with a degree in either Land Economics, Architecture Construction, Management or Engineering. Possession of a Masters Degree in Facilities Management or related field will be an advantage.

·         Must be registered with the relevant Registration Board of Estates Managers, Architects, Quantity Surveyors or Facility Managers or Engineers.

·         Must have a minimum of ten (10) years, five (5) of them at a senior level in an organization with a large asset portfolio

·         This is a senior position which requires a result oriented person with excellent interpersonal skills, high integrity and Computer literate.

·         The successful candidate will report to the Deputy Vice -Chancellor (Administration & Finance) and will be required to maintain a register of all University property including furniture and general fixtures, coordinate the maintenance and repairs of the University buildings, plants and equipment including the management of service contracts, handle land administration matters, including lease preparations extensions and payment of land taxes and supervision of a sizeable workforce.
