1. PROFESSOR GRADE 15 (1
POST) EU/AA/2013 – 12122
The candidates should possess any of the following qualifications
and experience:-
·
Must have Ph.D degree specialized in
Veterinary Clinical Studies.
·
Must have at least four (4) years of
University teaching and research since being appointed Associate Professor.
·
Must have at last (5) articles in refereed
journals, one (1) book by a renowned publisher or two (2) book chapters plus
three (3) articles distinguished and refereed exhibitions performances of
original creation plus two (2) articles.
·
Must have successfully supervised at least
tow (2) Ph.D students or one (1) student and two Masters Students or four (4)
Masters Students.
·
Should have attended and contributed at
learned conferences, seminars workshops.
·
Should show evidence of academic and
research leadership in area of specialization through teaching and joint
publications.
·
Should show evidence of continued
research, postgraduate supervision and effective teaching.
·
Should shoe evidence of being a member of
relevant professional bodies and awareness of national and international
issues.
·
Should show evidence of leadership and
awareness of national and international issues.
·
Must be a member of Kenya Veterinary
Board/Kenya Veterinary Association

2. LECTURER GRADE XI (1 POST)
EU/AA/2013 – 12123
The candidates should possess any of the following
qualifications and experience:-
·
Must have Ph.D degree in Animal Breeding
and Genetics or its equivalent in relevant field.
Or
·
Must have a Master degree in Animal
Breeding and Genetics or its equivalent in relevant field from a recognized
academic institution and at least three (3) years of teaching experience at an
institution of higher learning.
·
Must have at least two (2) publications in
refereed journals
FACULTY OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

3. LECTURER
GRADE 12 (1 POST) EU/AA/2013 – 12124
The candidates should possess the following
qualifications and experience:-
·
Must have a Ph.D or its equivalent in
Financial Economics from a recognized academic institution.
OR
·
Must have a Masters Degree in the relevant
field from a recognized academic institution
·
Must have at least three (3) years of
teaching experience at an institution of higher learning at level of a
Lecturer.
·
Must have at least two (2) publications in
refereed journals or one (1) book or two (2) book Chapters in the relevant
area.

qualifications and experience:-

Bachelors’ degree in Agriculture &
Human Ecology Extension from recognized institution of higher learning.

Must have at least three (3) years
experience in an institution of higher learning.

6. ASSISTANT
LECTURER GRADE XI (2 POSTS) EU/AA/2013 – 12127
The candidates should possess any of the following
qualifications and experience:-
·
Must have a Master degree in Education
Communication & Technology
·
Must have at least one (1) year of
teaching experience at an institution of higher learning.
·
Must have registered for Ph.D studies
·
The appointment is on two (2) year
contract renewable.

7. ASSISTANT LECTURER GRADE XI (2 POSTS) EU/AA/2013 – 12128
The candidates should possess the following
qualifications and experience:-

Must have a Master degree or its
equivalent from a recognized academic institution of higher learning
·
Must have at least one (1) year of
teaching experience at an institution of higher learning.
·
Must have registered for Ph.D studies.
·
The appointment will be on two (2) years
contract renewable.

The above posts will be on Permanent and
Pensionable or Contract terms of Service as follows:
SALARY SCALE
The salary scale for all the posts are:-
Professor
Grade 15 - Kshs.132,854 x 4329 – 158,830 x 7127 – 194,454/= per month
Lecturer
Grade 12 - Kshs.76,551 x 2492 – 91,502
x 3530 – 109,150/= per month.
Assistant Lecturer Grade XI
(Contract) - Kshs.64,092 x 2492 – 91,502/=
per month.
Technologist
I Grade 8 - Kshs.25,627 x 763 – 26,390
x 1,036 – 29,497 x 1,184 – 36,599/= per month
